Westminster’s “Summer of Sex” – from 0 to 18

Last time I sat with Richard Lucas, leader of the Scottish Family Party, we went through Scotland’s new statutory guidance on what every child must be taught about sex, relationships and identity, from the age of three. This time he showed me the actual classroom materials. I will not reproduce them. Even quoting the slides would put this email past Ofcom’s 9pm watershed – and that is the news. Material the State broadcaster cannot lawfully put before adults at 8.59pm is what the Scottish Government recommends its teachers put before three-year-olds in school.

These resources are recommended by Scotland’s First Minister, John Swinney, by name, and used in most Scottish state schools. Richard walks us through them age band by age band in our discussion here: [WARNING: some explicit curriculum material]

From three years old, children can be taught that babies are assembled from sperm, egg and uterus from any combination of bodies, erasing mum and dad. From the age of five, two mothers or two fathers is taught as no different from a mother and a father. From age twelve, lessons include telling children they have a “right” to have sex with each other, though Parliament sets the age of consent at sixteen. From fifteen, teachers walk pupils through specific sexual acts decency forbids me from naming – Government-recommended content.

‘This corrupts young minds’, Richard tells me. Looking at one of the lessons that walks twelve-year-olds through having sex for the first time, he asks: “Anything about being married in there? Forget that. No way.” He suggests that if you can get sex with who you want and when you want, why would you bother with marriage?

In England, this is not isolated. It is the pattern. Christian Concern documented Warwickshire’s “All About Me” programme – delivered in over two hundred primary schools – as one that encouraged six-year-olds in things we cannot in decency describe, showed explicit images to nine-year-olds, and so much worse besides. It took a legal threat from The Christian Institute before Warwickshire County Council finally withdrew it.

The Daily Telegraph exposed a drag queen visiting a school on the Isle of Man to instruct eleven-year-olds in sexual practices we cannot name here – and to tell them there are 73 genders. There are many other examples.

In Westminster, Labour MP Samantha Niblett has launched a “summer of sex” campaign, partnering with Cindy Gallop, who runs the pornography subscription platform MakeLoveNotPorn and a sex-education site aimed, in Gallop’s own words on Spectator TV, at ages “0 to 18 and beyond”. Read that again. Zero to eighteen. Sex education for children in cots, built by the founder of a pornography platform with a sitting MP. Niblett intends to bring sex toys into Parliament. It is what Scotland is already doing to three-year-olds, brought to Westminster.

There is a remedy on the statute book. Last Saturday, at the Family Education Trust annual conference, the former Home Secretary Suella Braverman called for the enforcement of sections 406 and 407 of the Education Act 1996, provisions that already prohibit indoctrination in schools but are all too often ignored. “It is indoctrination, pure and simple”, she says, “and it’s against the law”.

Marriage between one man and one woman is the gold standard for the rearing of children, giving every child the unconditional link to mother and father. What Scotland teaches its three-year-olds, what English schools have already been caught teaching, and what Westminster’s “summer of sex” wants to push further, is the dismantling of that institution. Coalition for Marriage exists to protect children from paying the cost.

Two things this week. Firstly, forward this email to one parent or grandparent. Secondly, write to your MP at https://www.writetothem.com and demand enforcement of sections 406 and 407 of the Education Act 1996. Insist they stop sexualising our children.
