LGBT ICON ‘PRESSURED’ TO CALL HERSELF LESBIAN

Prominent LGBT celebrity JoJo Siwa has revealed she felt “pressured” by the ‘LGBT community’ into identifying as a lesbian.
JoJo, an American child star who shot to global fame on the hit show Dance Moms, was performing to sell-out crowds – including London’s O2 Arena – by the age of just 16. In 2021, aged 17 she publicly ‘came out’ as gay, swiftly becoming a glittery rainbow icon at Pride festivals worldwide.
But after four years as a famous lesbian singer, JoJo has now fallen in love with a man. On ITV’s Celebrity Big Brother earlier this year, she grew very close to fellow contestant Chris Hughes. After the show, JoJo immediately ended her relationship with her girlfriend and soon started dating Chris.
JoJo has now openly discussed marriage plans with Chris, expressing that she “want[s] kids so much”.
Reflecting on her past, JoJo admits she felt significant “pressure” from the LGBT community to label herself as a lesbian.
Now, JoJo has pulled out of her scheduled performance at Chicago Pride and postponed her US tour.
JoJo’s story publicly undercuts the persistent myth that individuals identifying as gay can never fall in love with someone of the opposite sex and pursue marriage.
This story also highlights the inherent dangers of a society increasingly promoting same-sex relationships to primary-school children.
How many more young people like JoJo are being pressured by today’s LGBT-saturated culture into adopting labels that deny them the future possibility of meeting the man or woman of their dreams, marrying, and starting a family?
At C4M, we champion real marriage as the gold standard for loving relationships and healthy family life. Too many young people have been convinced by influential voices that a happy, stable marriage is impossible for them. We want young people – and society – to know the truth: just because you’ve been placed in a socially constructed LGBT box, you don’t have to stay trapped there forever!
